On June 3rd, in the wonderfully atmospheric setting of the artistic residence in Sieciechowice, Bartek Chwilczyński showcased his solo exhibition.
He's an exceptional artist known for blending various graphic and polygraphic techniques in his creations.
The vernissage, akin to a lively multimedia spectacle, marked the culmination of his "JOURNEY" series, where he honed his unique approach, drawing from calligraphy, lithography, and collage.
In these artworks, vibrant hues and deep black Japanese ink come together to craft an abstract realm for reflection, encouraging viewers to explore their own interpretations.
- The premise of the series is to create contemplative visual environments, scenography for individual reflections, where the viewer imbues meaning based on their own experiences, associations, and sensitivity. It's like playing with abstract associations within oneself. The works are deliberately devoid of figurative references, allowing for interpretation without imposition, but rather letting the viewer's intuition and subconscious come to the forefront - says Chwilczynski.
This exhibition, featuring lithographic collages, mappings, and installations spanning four years of the "JOURNEY" series, celebrated the grand opening of the Arte Novum Foundation in Sieciechowice.
The vernissage was followed by a concert featuring the talented trio: Kuba Płużek, Piotr Południak, and Dawid Fortuna.
